County Fire Rescue Trainee Charged With Stalking, Battery

TAMPA - A trainee with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue has been jailed on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and aggravated stalking, according to an arrest report.
Deputies arrested Kyle A. Henry, 25, at his apartment on Himes Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. today, the report states.
On Tuesday, the woman told deputies Henry has assaulted her at various times since April, pulling her hair, choking her and kicking her, the report states.
Investigators said Henry also left her 50 threatening phone messages over 24 hours, including one text message that left her in fear for her life and that of her unborn child and 9-year-old son.
Henry remains in Orient Road Jail. No bail has been set.
The county hired him in December 2006 as a recruit, putting him through firefighter and emergency medical technician training. In September, Henry was promoted to fire medic trainee, and he has been attending paramedic school, department spokesman Ray Yeakley said.

Sometimes it doesnt matter what kind of training they have...some people are just creeps. Good luck to her and her kids.
Now with that said...why the heck did she just say something now??? Since April?? I hate to doubt; but maybe its not as bad as she wants others to believe.We'll see!

Wow that's crazy..hfurnia most battered women stay with the aggresor because they love them, are scared of them etc until one day they finally have enough. Although, studies do show that most abused women drop charges and return to the abuser after they have had time to think about it so who knows

This is what happens when they hire uncertified people just to boost their minority numbers. There are LOADS of better qualified, ALREADY certified firefighter/EMTs out there, but HCFR prefers to put YOUR safety at risk by not hiring the best people, but by hiring those that help meet their quotas. They would rather spend your money to gamble on and train people of the right color, then to pick the best and brightest regardless of race.

I can't help but to be even more concerned for this young lady for the following reason: If HC decides to say "see ya" to Mr. Henry- it may infuriate him more and cause him to take it out on her. I hope that we don't read about this again in a couple of weeks....as a murder. She did the right thing...I hope he smartens up!

AC I'm not sure because I don't know him but "Kyle Henry" sounds like it would be a white guy. What type of minority quota would he be filling? If your just assuming that he is not white that is just flat out wrong plenty of white guys beat their wives.

this guy was my daughter's ex and he actually is a loon. my daughter left him when he came to her job and beat her up. he still lives with his mother and whomever the girlfriend is at the time. my daughter lived with them for 8 months and they were evicted 3 times (go figure), they would never pay their rent. finally my daughter came to her senses and left, and he responded with a barrage of calls and text messages. when she left i finally told my daughter that its something about him and i couldn't put my finger on it, but nobody in our family liked him we just tolerated him he was a very controlling and condescending person. oh, i forgot to mention the engagement, lol and the man is actually in the military. our nickname for him was tighty-whitey because his always acted as though his panties were in a bunch. when my daughter left him, (b4 baby or marriage) is the day she made the best choice of her life.

I have no idea what AC is talking about color has nothing to do with your work history or knowledge. Now Kyle dated my sister for 8 mo's during that time she was even foolish enough to sign a lease for him and his mother when they got put out their apt. for not paying rent and her being slow(figure of speech) and not that experienced they move in 2gether using her credit at a different apt and here he go bringing MAMA along. Now when they moved to this new complex the boy is crazy and he talk's to his mother any kind of way and she do everything for him so it's not his fault it's they way he way raised (all ethnic backgrounds)If you ask me I think the MAMA is pimpimg her son out cause he's the young man with good talk game and she got him out there looking 4 women who credit they can use for a place to stay cause you don't get one without the other. He is KRAZY as heck and very controlling and want things his way and he even tried to get her pregnant he made that comment and think got she wasn't the one cause I did curse her out and tell her how stupid she was for dealing with the krazy BOY. I'm glad she got out of the relationship last year and when she left they got put out again no longer able to use her money or credit, and what they do go out and find another victim and to get pregnant and use credit I feel bad for what has happended to her but the 1st time I met him I was able to tell what type of person he was but what can I say my sister was with him for 8 months and only thing is he didn't take it that far maybe cause she was a big/tall chick and he knew we was in her corner.With that all being said now that it is out in the public PLS LADIES STAY AWAY... AC - finally, somebody who understands! For those of you not involved in the EMS field you really have no clue as to the politics involved with getting hired. Perfectly qualified candidates get turned down all the time and then HCFR will hire someone with no training and put them through firefighter and emergency medical technician school with your tax dollars -- THEY PAY THEM TO GO TO SCHOOL AND PAY THEIR TUITION TOO -- if you call HCFR they will confirm that they hire minorities (remember "minority" also includes females) and put them through school to help meet their quotas -- and they only have to pass a test at a 10th grade level to be considered for employment. AMAZING!

If it makes any of you feel any better, Pat Bean has recommended the diversity program for Fire Rescue be cut from the budget this year. According to the budget it would have provided for 10 recruits at a cost of about $450,000 per year.

AC is correct 100%. In a free market, capitalistic system only the best, most qualified candidate or product should reap the rewards. But, enter the democrats with their "gimmie a handout", reverse discrimination, PC BS and suddenly the system breaks down, or at best you lose quality. This country is supposed to be all about "the land of opportunity" and no matter what race, color, religion, etc. that you are if you bust your butt and go after what you want, you can achieve it.
